About Us

History

Back in 1992, Al Ross founded National Signs in Houston, Texas with $200 in his pocket, a 300-square foot office, one employee, and a simple idea - "treat your employees well and they will find a way to not only get the job done, but get it done right."

Sticking to this philosophy over the years has catapulted the growth of our company and made it the success it is today. We are proud of all we've accomplished - building strong relationships, developing a strong team, and expanding our knowledge to focus on the details and expertise needed to provide our clients with custom, quality solutions.

In just over 15 short years we've become the unquestioned experts in specialized projects. From 18' rotating graphics to complex messaging signs to changing out 1,500 + signs in less than four months, our experience has helped us to produce the most compelling signs for even the most complicated projects.

It is this combination of passion and expertise that led to the launch of our Church Signs website. It all started with our first worship message center sign for Second Baptist Church. As we learned more about what Second Baptist wanted to do with their message center, we realized that there was much we could do for the community. A great many churches use traditional signage because that is the way it has always been done. Yet that is limiting to a large extent. To survive and thrive as a spiritual community, your message must be heard by your neighbors, local businesses, and even the driver in the car going down the street. Savvy church leaders know that building a community of faith is as much about marketing as it is about message - and these are two things National Signs is passionate about in our own right. Working with Second Baptist we recognized that we both had a passion to have the sign represent the vision of the church to the community while also serving as an effective communication vehicle.

National Signs has created hundreds of effective and important church signs, each customized to represent the uniqueness of the church for which it was built. Together we design and build signs that reach out and touch, introduce, explain, invite, and speak directly to your community members.
